Reimbursements

What we reimburse:

  • Menstrual cups
  • Pads and liners (reusable and disposable)
  • Tampons
  • Emergency contraceptive pill
  • Thrush medication
  • Period pants
  • Over-the-counter pain medication, e.g. paracetamol, ibuprofen, aspirin
  • Cleaning products for the purpose of cleaning reusable period products; includes sterilisation tablets
  • Pregnancy tests
  • Taxis – whenever it would help you feel safer travelling somewhere

How it works:

  • Email su.women@wadham.ox.ac.uk with a clear photo of the receipt (or a different form of proof, e.g. screenshot of a bank statement / order confirmation), your name, and your bank details (account number and sort code)
  • If you feel comfortable to do so, please also say in your reimbursement request if you have already been reimbursed for anything before from the SU account, with a simple “yes” or “no” – this is purely to save the Treasurer admin time, but it is completely optional
  • We will pass these details onto the Treasurer to process the reimbursement – we will not pass on any other information, such as what the reimbursement is for
  • We will regularly delete emails for data privacy reasons, so if you’re sending in repeat reimbursement requests, please continue to specify your bank details each time
  • Generally we will send a list of reimbursement requests which we have received to the treasurer at the end of every month – chunking them together in this way helps to prevent individual requests from getting ‘lost’ in the many emails which the treasurer receives! However, if you would like the request to be processed more urgently, please just let us know.
  • We usually reimburse items up to a total cost of £30 per request for each thing (e.g. £30 total spend on two pairs of period pants, BUT you can still put in another reimbursement request for something else, like the emergency contraceptive pill) so that there’s enough money in the pot to go round – please discuss this with us if you have any concerns / uncertainties 🙂
  • If there are other things you think we should be reimbursing, or have any specific reimbursement requests for items not mentioned above, please get in touch and we can discuss it!
